The rebranding therefore to FlyNamibia, held at its Eros Airport hangar in the capital Windhoek, is relief to a country and industry that has not been spared the global COVID-19 pandemic. “Tourism is a priority in the Fifth National Development Plan,” she said. There was also the launch of the FlyNamibia Safaris, a route that will offer daily flights between Windhoek, Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Etosha and later Victoria Falls, which Zimbabwe tourism capital. FlyNamibia connects travellers between Windhoek, Katima Mulilo, Ondangwa, Rundu and the South African resort city of Cape Town.
