Rebisco, Choco Mucho head to Thailand for Asian volleyball tourneyThe country sent two teams to the weeklong tournament, which stakes a berth to the 2021 FIVB Women’s Club Championship scheduled December 15-19 in Ankara, Turkey. MANILA, Philippines – Rebisco and Choco Mucho are set to leave the country Tuesday to represent the Philippines in the Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship set October 1-7 in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. Choco Mucho’s other games are against Zhetyssu of Kazakhstan Saturday while Rebisco battles Supreme Chonburi of Thailand Saturday Iran Saipa Tehran of Iran Sunday. Meanwhile, Gel Cayuna has replaced Kat Tolentino at Choco Mucho due to undisclosed reasons. The tournament is being participated by seven teams – including two each from the Philippines – Kazakhstan and the host country after several regional powerhouse countries backed out due to the pandemic.
