Picture by Dwijodas GhoshBolpur: The Opposition's poster boy to torment Trinamul in the 2013 rural polls in Birbhum is a candidate of the ruling party for the coming panchayat elections. Hriday Ghosh has filed his nomination as the Trinamul nominee for the Bolpur-Sriniketan panchayat samiti after having reconciled with the party and its Birbhum district chief Anubrata Mondal three years ago. In 2013, I contested as an Independent in the Kasba (Bolpur) gram panchayat as the party did not give me a ticket. This year, the leadership has not only chosen me but also elevated me as a panchayat samiti candidate. Trinamul leaders said the dispute with Ghosh had been resolved three years back and there was nothing new in his nomination as a party candidate this year.
