Rangers were expected to provide a guard of honour for their Old Firm rivals Celtic after they clinched the title with a 3-0 win over Aberdeen last week. The Ibrox club revealed earlier in the week that they would not be offering the tradition, and Steven Gerrard has now revealed how the decision was made. Gerrard said: "The club have made a decision on that and decided there won't be a guard of honour, so my thoughts are irrelevant. “I will follow what I'm told to do by the people in charge of the club."
