Hummels turn down a move to Manchester United because he wants to play Champions League football, according to German news outlet Bild. Instead, he chose to move back to Dortmund from Bayern, despite being offered a higher salary at Old Trafford. United failed to qualify for Europe’s elite competition next season, as they finished sixth in the Premier League. Dortmund bought Hummels for around £34m, as the Black and Yellows aim to impress in the Champions League and Bundesliga next season.
