I wonder though if his dissent is really a brilliant tactic to argue that he is the most qualified to be Chief Justice now, as he voted against emptying the Chief Justice post. Why would it give to a lower body the power to remove its Chief Justice? Isn’t it much fairer, and less complicated if the fate of the Chief Justice is decided by her peers? But it is a body the Constitution specifies that will be the final interpreter of the law: the Supreme Court. Why the hell are some claiming so melodramatically that the Supreme Court decision to kick out Sereno means the end of democracy?
