The Portuguese coach signed a three-year deal with Roma last month, making a surprisingly swift return to football after being sacked by Spurs in April. Madrid then quickly turned their attention to former boss Ancelotti and talks took less than 48 hours for the Italian to leave Everton. Chairman Daniel Levy was unhappy with the brand of football being played and dismissed Mourinho less than a week before the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City. Mourinho previously managed in Italy between 2008 and 2010 at Inter Milan, who he guided to the Treble in his final season at the San Siro.
