Reagan Arthur to Succeed the Late Sonny Mehta as Knopf Editorial Head

Publishing veteran Reagan Arthur will succeed the late Ajai Singh “Sonny” Mehta as the editorial head of the Alfred A. Knopf imprint, one of the country’s most prestigious book publishers. Ms. Arthur is expected to join Knopf on Feb. 11 as executive vice president, publisher, of Knopf and the Pantheon and Schocken imprints, which are all part of Penguin Random House. The editorial teams of the three imprints will report directly to her, as will Paul Bogaards, executive vice president and deputy publisher.
