Bell's installation of wiring for its Gigabit Fibe service includes entering apartments of people who aren't home and don't want the service, which some readers find outrageous. But others say it is entirely reasonable, as long as the contractor is accompanied by someone from building management. ( JACK LAKEY/TORONTO STAR )A lot of people are outraged at the prospect of Bell coming into their apartment while they’re not home to wire it up for its Fibe service. We got nearly 20 emails from readers, some of whom were incredulous that Bell was granted such wide-open access to homes by building management. Paul Roth said a Bell contractor recently installed Fibe in his building which involved drilling holes in the basement parking garage.
