They ought to know that the legacy media are more informative, responsible and trustworthy than social media. Legacy media have systems for editing and checking stories for accuracy, tone and taste. But last week I was astonished by a reader who said he prefers the social media because, to him, it is more informative. It was a different of a kind of criticism but in the same vein of rubbishing the legacy media.
