Re-election campaign: Umeh empowers 15 widows in Awka North


In continuation of his re-election campaign rallies at Awka North Local Government Area of the state, the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Chief Victor Umeh has empowered over fifteen indigent widows within the area. Tribune Online report that the women that benefitted from the empowerment programme were derived from Urum, Amanuke and Achalla respectively. On arrival at the campaign ground, party stakeholders, youths, Indigenes and non-Indigenes of Awka North Council Area, testified to the humanitarian disposition of Chief Umeh, assuring him of total support in making sure that APGA trounces other parties in the forthcoming elections. Chief Umeh assured that if re-elected come February sixteenth he will continue to make useful contributions to important national issues especially one affecting the Igbo people, adding that he will not relent in his plans towards alleviating the plight of the vulnerable. Some of the beneficiaries including, Mrs Caroline ifejika, Stella Attado, Mirriam Iloemenam, and Chigozie Chigbogu, commended Chief Umeh for his kind gesture and pledged to judiciously use the opportunities given to them by the philanthropist to improve their standard of living.
