The attack occurred when he was isolated in the water while surfing, Robertson told Newstalk ZB in an interview to be aired on Saturday, NZME reported. "I saw it really clearly, this was a shark and it was big, so I got out alive," Robertson said. Robertson said that he doesn't surf as much anymore but when he does grab the board, he does his homework on the area.
