Star off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin added another feather to his cap on Sunday by becoming the fastest bowler to take 250 wickets in Test cricket. Ashwin was two wickets short of the mark before the start of the ongoing one-off Test against Bangladesh in Hyderabad. Ashwin had earlier surpassed Pakistan great Waqar Younis and Lillee to become the second fastest bowler to claim 200 Test wickets during the first Test against New Zealand in September last year. Ashwin achieved the milestone in his 37th Test match, bettering Waqar and Lillee, who both took 38 Tests.
