The management of the Center-de-la-Maurice hospital in Shawinigan has been trying for several months to get rid of the rat colony. However, their services have long been needed, confirmed Guillaume Cliche, spokesman for the Integrated University Health and Social Services Center of Maurice-et-du-Centre-du-Québec (CIUSSS MCQ). Sources familiar with the matter tell us the animals were last seen in the kitchen, dining room and on some floors of the hospital. He says experts appointed by the CIUSSS MCQ were able to trace at least one entry point for the animals, including a burrow outside the hospital near the kitchen walls. It is a bit sad to find rats in the hospital.
