Some people who contract Covid-19, the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, develop neurological symptoms – and information about this deadly infectious disease has been accumulating over the past couple of months. Several patients who were hospitalised for Covid-19 were reported to have delirium. They were confused, disorientated and agitated, according to an article in Nature. In April 2020, the first report was published of a Covid-19 patient who developed swelling and inflammation in brain tissue.
