With a fun and unexpected performance keyed — incredibly — by a deep bench, the undermanned Raptors played their brains out and beat the Los Angeles Lakers 113-104 at the Staples Center. Pascal Siakam overcame a poor offensive start to score 24 points for Toronto, while Fred VanVleet finished with 23 points and 10 assists. Norm Powell started in Lowry’s place here Sunday against the Lakers, while Chris Boucher is expected to get the bulk of the minutes Ibaka was playing off the bench. Hollis-Jefferson gave the Raptors serviceable minutes off the bench and finished with 10 points. He may not have had the very obvious impact that Leonard did, but the Raptors don’t win a title without him.
