Triple-rapist Michael John Carroll, pictured here in 2003, is getting paroled. A triple-rapist jailed in 1988 is about to taste freedom after more than three decades behind bars. Michael John Carroll will be released from prison on parole on September 28. Carroll was paroled – first to Pukerua Bay north of Wellington then to Christchurch – in 2003 but recalled to prison after breaching his parole conditions to go drinking.
