RapidKL apologises for temporary disruption on Kelana Jaya line - Nation


PETALING JAYA: Rapid KL has apologised for the temporary disruption caused to passengers of the LRT Kelana Jaya Line services after one of the south-bound trains encountered a technical difficulty near Pasar Seni station on Friday (Dec 21). “The train was stopped as it approached Bangsar station when technicians detected suspicious odour from under the carriage,” it said in a statement. Rapid KL added that the operation control centre then ordered for the empty train to be dispatched to the pocket track at Universiti Station. The Longest waiting time recorded during this period was 15 minutes at Masjid Jamek Station,” Rapid KL said“A rescue mission was called with a train sent to the scene for a coupling exercise to push the stalled train to the pocket track at the University station,” it added. Services for the LRT Kelana Jaya Line were restored by 11.45am.
