more-inA Delhi court has summoned an American woman to record her evidence in a case where she was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man at a hotel in Central Delhi’s Pahargaj in 2013. Additional Sessions Judge Ramesh Kumar-II had this past Monday framed charges against accused Raghuvanshi in the case after he pleaded not guilty. The woman, who wanted to engage in social work, had met the accused in Rishikesh as he was running an NGO. Counsel for the accused argued that no offence of rape after administering a stupefying substance was prima facie made out against his client. He further said that there was no medical or forensic evidence to prove that the woman was raped by the man.
