Rangpur captain Mashrafe Mortaza lead from the front and took four wickets conceding just 11 runs and helped Rangpur bowl out Comilla for just 63 runs in 16.2 overs. Spinner Nazmul Islam Apu took three wickets and pacer Shafiul took two as Comilla scored their lowest ever total in the BPL. Rangpur started their innings with Windies master-blaster Chris Gayle and local opener Mehedi Maruf. However the big hitting Gayle only managed to score 1 off five balls before losing his wicket to Comilla pacer Abu Hider Rony. Mashrafe was adjudged man-of-the-match for his brilliant performance with the ball.
