Rangers could be busy in the January transfer window bringing in new recruits to mount further pressure on Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership, but Gordon Strachan doesn’t think Steven Gerrard will have much money left to do any business. Rangers now hold the advantage in the league after beating Celtic 2-1 on Sunday, putting them two points behind Neil Lennon’s side with a game in hand. At the forefront of their impressive win was Ryan Kent, who was signed from Liverpool on a permanent deal last summer for £7million. Gerrard has spent more money than any Rangers manager in the past decade with the Light Blues desperate to knock Celtic off their perch. Celtic have money to spend from Kieran Tierney’s big-money move to Arsenal in the summer but Rangers will likely have to sell before they buy.
