The midfielder has been impressed with the recent signings made by Gerrard and believes Rangers now have what it takes to close the gap on Celtic in the upcoming campaign. Last season Rangers ended up nine points off the Hoops in the Scottish Premiership and also had to watch on as their rivals secured the domestic treble. Gerrard has wasted no time in culling players deemed surplus to requirements at the club and recently secured his seventh signing of the summer, after convincing 22-year-old Joe Aribo his future can prosper at Ibrox. But along with all the new arrivals comes the pressure to win silverware and Halliday is under no illusion there is now a lot riding on this season.
