LAHORE: The Punjab Rangers foiled a bid to smuggle drugs, killing a suspected drug peddler and recovered heroin and arms at the Wagah Border on Friday. According to reports, the Punjab Rangers approached two suspected drug pushers attempting to smuggle heroin in Hadiara village at Wagah Border. According to Rangers, the suspects opened fire at them and tried to flee. They said that a suspect, later identified as Amjad, was killed in retaliatory firing of the security personnel while his accomplice managed to escape.
