Rangers’ Nathan Eovaldi still hasn’t cooled down, continued career stretch vs. Seattle

The best groove of his career continues for Nathan Eovaldi. It was the fifth time in his last seven outings Eovaldi has held an opponent scoreless. In that stretch, he’s compiled a 0.68 ERA and allowed an identical WHIP. It is the third lowest ERA for a seven-start stretch in Rangers history behind a Gaylord Perry stretch in 1975 and Yovani Gallardo in 1975. Though Eovaldi is currently sixth in the AL in ERA, he was second in pitching WAR, according to fangraphs.com, to Toronto’s Kevin Gausman entering Sunday.
