Students of National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi have been protesting against the lethargic attitude and misappropriation of funds by the administrative authorities of the academic institution. On September 12, at least 200 students of NUSRL locked down the university gate and sat on a dharna. Based on these assurances and on the condition that visible actions will be taken, the students withheld the protest. "Around 3-5 students were detained despite no sloganeering or resistance", a final year BA LLB student told IndiaToday.in on the condition of anonymity. While the students continue to protest against not having a permanent VC, students accused the current in charge of being apathetic to their needs.
