A day after the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) wrote to the Police Commissioner demanding security for a Kargil martyr's daughter, Delhi Police on Tuesday filed an FIR over alleged rape threats that the girl received. Delhi police will be examining the matter on a priority basis and will also be providing proper security to her. On Monday, Gurmehar Kaur, a Delhi University student, met DCW chief Swati Maliwal and said that she has been receiving rape threats on social media allegedly by ABVP members. The whole controversy over Ramjas College clash and a campaign launched by Kaur took a political turn on Monday after Rijiju's comment. However, after receiving rape threats and stating that she had been through a lot, Kaur has now withdrawn from her campaign.
