Egyptian-American Rami Malek’s performance of Freddie Mercury’s biography titled Bohemian Rhapsody brought him the trophy of the Best Drama Actor at the 2019 Golden Globe awards. The film crew also returned home with another award, as Bohemian Rhapsody also won the Best Picture. Brian May, the lead Queen guitarist, previously said that Malek’s performance deserves an Oscar. “Thank you to Freddie Mercury for giving me the joy of a lifetime. His part in the series won him the Critics’ Choice Award, and the Primetime Emmy Award.
