The ANC's parliamentary caucus is steadfast in its attempts to silence ANC MP Mervyn Dirks, who last week wrote to Mkhuleko Hlengwa, the chairperson of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa), requesting him to investigate President Cyril Ramaphosa over a leaked recording in which the latter appeared to confess that he had misused public funds for use in his CR17 campaign.
