TRADERS and visitors at Ramadan bazaars in Penang are embracing new norms as business starts on a good note. At the Bayan Lepas Ramadan bazaar, everyone was seen adhering to the standard operating procedures (SOPs). Technician Ridzuan Harman, 22, said that the Bayan Lepas Ramadan bazaar had been his favourite spot during the holy month since his teenage years. “Normally, I will buy nasi tomato or nasi kerabu along with traditional kuih that are only available at Ramadan bazaars such as tepung pelita. “I don’t mind adhering to the SOPs as long as the bazaar can operate during the fasting month unlike last year, ” he added.
