An organizer of the Central rally Ventus Lau Wing-hong has been arrested for breaching terms of the assembly. He was taken away after speaking to the press, claiming 150,000 people participated in the rally. A plain cloth officer asked him to cut short the rally without showing his warrant card, Lau said. Lau was taken to the North Point police station, for inciting the public and breaching rally terms, according to Hong Kong Civil Assembly Team which Lau is a spokesman. However, people defied the ban and walked onto Central streets, digging up breaks and setting a fire.
