State employees have announced to organize a joyous rally in Dhaka on Saturday [November 25], to celebrate Unesco’s recognition of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s historic March 7 speech as a world documentary heritage. The Media and Public Relations Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the programme in a press release on Friday. The DMP have also released a map outlining the designated path the rally is set to take throughout the city. Suhrawardy Udyan will be accessible to public from four entry points– Chobir Haat gate, TSC gate, the gate opposite from the Bangla Academy and the Kali Temple gate. The DMP have urged the city dwellers to plan their movement throughout Dhaka by consulting the released map, and to extend necessary cooperation to the traffic department.
