The agency, however, did not officially confirm this as of press time Friday.CBI is continuing with its preliminary enquiry, lodged over two months ago, into the alleged nexus between Deepak Kochhar and Venugopal Dhoot. The agency is also examining whether Avista benefited on account of Rajiv Kochhar’s relation with the ICICI Bank boss.Sources indicated that Deepak Kochhar and Dhoot may be called for questioning. After examination of documents and recording of statements, Chanda Kochhar may also be quizzed, they said.CBI is examining respondents involved in the ICICI Bank loan case as part of its preliminary enquiry. The bank maintained that it was only one of a consortium of 20 lenders led by State Bank of India that had granted about Rs 40,000 crore in loans to Videocon. It said the amount lent by ICICI Bank was less than 10% of the total amount.
