If you are a Rajinikanth fan, it doesn’t get bigger than this. The Tamil superstar’s cult 1995 drama Baasha will re-release on Friday in a new avatar – as a digitally remastered version of the film. The film, starring Nagma, Raghuvaran, Janakaraj, Vijayakumar and Sathyapriya apart from Thalaivar of course, was among the biggest commercial blockbusters in South cinema and influenced many other films, particularly in Telugu films. Directed by Suresh Krishnna, Baasha has been one of the career-defining films for Rajinikanth which helped him change the way moviegoers perceive heroes on the big screen. Baasha is particularly known for its dialogues, action sequences and songs.
