Rajib’s elder brother Abu Taher, 48, said that his brother Jahangir Alam’s (now known as Rajib Gandhi) terror links and related activities forced him to quit home and settle down at a different location about 10 years ago. Rajib's ancestral house is located at Bhootmara area of Banorpara Union under Sagatha Upazila in Gaibandha. They believe that the teacher was also associated with terror activities. Taher further revealed that Jahangir, alias Rajib stayed in his new Malancha house only for a year or two. "He had told us and the neighbourswhile leaving area that he was moving to Bogra for his children's education," Taher said.
