MARLBOROUGH — Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers, a Louisiana-based fast-food chain, has won approval from the City Council to open a restaurant on the rapidly growing west side of Boston Post Road. Raising Cane’s Restaurants LLC received the special permit from the council Monday to construct and operate a restaurant and drive-thru at 141 Boston Post Road West (Rte. At-Large City Councilor Mark Oram said he would not support the special permit. He asked for a continuance due to concerns of a neighboring business, McDonald’s Corp., which has a restaurant at 155 Boston Post Road. The amount of green space and impenetrable surfaces also must stay the same or the company would have to go back before the City Council for approval.
