The city has recorded a maximum of 12.8-centimetre rainfall in its West Zone, between 8 p.m. on Friday and 2 a.m. on Saturday. Central and East zones recorded about nine centimetres of rainfall, while South Zone recorded six to eight centimetres. As per the data collated by the GHMC, a total of 395 areas in the city experienced inundation/flooding, which include NTR Stadium, Ashok Nagar Bridge, Lingampally, Borabanda, Himayatnagar, Amberpet, Road No.36, VST, RTC Crossroads, Bahadurpura, Patthargatti, Moazzamjahi Market, Model House, Jalagam Vengal Rao Park, Uppal and Nagol. Apartment cellars were flooded in dozens, and power outage since Friday midnight deprived the dwellers of even drinking water. Food packets and drinking water were distributed in the badly affected areas.
