Rain across the Nelson-Tasman region on Tuesday and overnight into Wednesday has dried up the need for water restrictions across Tasman District. Rain that fell on a parched Tasman District on Tuesday and overnight into Wednesday was sufficient to warrant the lifting of all water restrictions in place, with immediate effect. With the lifting of restrictions on water consent holders, all restrictions on public reticulated supplies were also lifted with immediate effect. For Nelson residents living adjacent to Champion Rd, where water is supplied from the Richmond Water Supply Scheme, those restrictions have also been lifted.
