But the city’s roads were battered - those that saw the execution of underground drainage works and also the other roads. The bitumen-topped surfaces came off at several places and in others the rain left huge pot holes. In several places, residents dumped earth, debris and also placed sticks to caution road users of the impending potholes as they did in Ramnagar. The Corporation should repair the damaged roads - patch the damaged stretch at the earliest as they pose threat to the safety of motorists. And damaged roads were quite likely to cause accidents as road users veered to the right side to avoid pot holes or damaged stretches.
