Rain forces softball games to be cancelledWith rain soaked softball diamonds at Surrey Park, Invercargill, on Saturday, conditions were deemed to be dangerous, so all games were cancelled. However, the three games set down to be played at Bluff went ahead, as conditions there were not nearly so bad. The local Port team went head to head with Titans from Gore, with the score ending a close 19-18 to Titans. However, Port Black put the foot down in the top of the fifth, scoring 14 runs before the Reds could get the required outs. The third game saw the Port team win against Odd Sox from Eastern Southland 15-12.
