Rain deficit Bihar faces devastating flood in 12 districts

"In eight years, out of the last 10 years, the state received less than even 900 mm rainfall causing draught-like situation in many districts. The current flood in Bihar has happened because monsoon turf shifted to south and it rained heavily in Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh leading to swell in water level of Sone. I had never seen Ganga waters entering in Bakhtiarpur Township. But this year, flood waters from Ganga have entered into Bakhtiarpur. While taking aerial survey of the flood situation on Sunday, I saw that flood waters this year have reached even my house at Bakhtiarpur.
