Raila links NIS to election fraud, voter listing in Uganda and Ethiopia


Cord leader Raila Odinga has claimed the NIS is interfering with voter registration by listing people in Uganda and Ethiopia. IEBC launched its second phase of mass voter listing on January 16 and intends to register between four to six million new voters. Raila challenged the agency to come clean and assure the country that it was abandoning its "disgraceful involvement" in voter registration. The first round of the exercise, in March last year, signed up only 1.4 million voters, far short of its targeted four million.
