NewsLeave for all Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus drivers and conductors have been cancelled in the wake of the strike launched by railway trade unions. The strike launched by railway engine drivers and rail guards continues today after it was launched without prior notice last evening. Talks between Transport Ministry officials, railway authorities and striking trade unions aimed at reaching a solution failed this afternoone and unions pledged to continue their trade union action until their demands were met.
