The Hirakhand Express had started out from Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh and was at Kuneru in Vizianagaram around 11.30 last night when the tragedy took place. But the cause of the crack - sabotage or lack of maintenance - has yet to be established. "A goods train had passed on the same tracks two hours before the incident. But Ranga Rao, the Vizianagaram SP, said: "As of now, we have not found any evidence to link the incident to Maoists. The accident appears to have happened because of some maintenance issues but I am not the authority to confirm it."
