Rahul has no interest in meaningful debate: BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accused Leader of Opposition (Lok Sabha) Rahul Gandhi of the “systematic sabotage” of parliamentary functioning and undermining of constitutional institutions on Monday (February 9, 2026). BJP national media head and Lok Sabha MP Anil Baluni said, “It is now abundantly clear that Rahul Gandhi has no interest in meaningful parliamentary debate. He alleged that, fearing exposure of his rhetoric, Mr. Gandhi frequently sought pretexts to evade substantive debate. “By disrupting the President’s address, Rahul Gandhi not only showed contempt for Parliament but also committed a grave insult to India’s first tribal woman President,” said Mr. Baluni. “The audacity to even attempt conspiracies against the Prime Minister within the precincts of Parliament is beyond condemnation,” he said.
