Rahul: Shehzada (Rahul) must come clear on ‘lack of democracy’ in ‘Congress sultanate’: Gujarat CM

In a letter written to Rahul Gandhi, the latter had expressed his displeasure at the process of presidential election in the Congress party.Terming the party President elections as "shame," the CM tweeting from his official Twitter handle, wrote:Last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had argued that the Congress would lose the upcoming polls (in Gujarat), but the Gandhi family but the Gandhi family would nevertheless emerge victorious after its scion Rahul is elected party president. The Gujarat chief minister's tweets were a response to the letter written by Poonawalla to Rahul Gandhi where he had called the Congress party presidential elections "rigged".On Wednesday, Poonwalla had written, "I cannot contest a rigged election. If the system is genuine, then I will contest. It is a rigged election...it is a selection. Delegates who are going to vote for this election have not been elected as per the constitutional requirements. They have been handpicked," according to reports on IANS.Poonawalla today sharpened his attack on Congress after party's poor performance in the Uttar Pradesh's civic polls. He also called upon Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi to allow him to contest the party President elections against him and attacked the "sycophants" within the party for protecting the dynasty system as their religion.
