Mr. Jaitley said Mr. Gandhi and his sister and AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were directors in Backops Services Pvt. Mr. Gandhi and Mr. Mcknight were registered in the same London address, which Mr. Jaitley said was owned by Ajitabh Bachchan, brother of actor Amitabh Bachchan. In 2009, Rahul Gandhi left the U.K. company, and the Indian company wound up in 2010, but his partner remained associated with different firms, he said. Mr. Jaitley said Mr. Mcknight won an offset contract from a French firm which was awarded an Indian Navy deal to build submarines. “Rahul Gandhi will now be judged by the same standards and level of proof he has laid down,” said Mr. Jaitley.
