Rahul Aware wins gold, silver for Babita Kumari in 2018 Commonwealth Games wrestling

Indian wrestlers began their campaign at the 2018 Commonwealth Games with a bang, winning four medals, including two gold, from the mat on Thursday. Rahul Aware (57 kg freestyle) started the gold rush before Sushil Kumar muscled over his opponents to win the 74kg category -- his third straight CWG gold. Sushil’s domination of the men’s 74kg category was summed up by the way he went about his business in the final bout against Johannes Botha of South Africa. It was Sushil’s third straight Commonwealth Games gold, adding to the ones he won in Delhi 2010 and Glasgow 2014. She then outclassed Carissa Holland of Austrlia to book a virtual final bout against Diana Weicker.
