Sources say first-ever visit by IMCTC delegation holds strategic importance under current circumstancesISLAMABAD: A delegation of Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), headed by former army chief General (retd) Raheel Sharif, arrived in Pakistan on it’s first-ever visit to the country on Sunday. Key affairs pertaining to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman’s upcoming visit to Pakistan will be discussed at the meeting, said the sources. The delegation will return to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. However, Iran and Saudi Arabia are regional rivals and have supported opposing sides in the conflicts in Syria and Yemen and different political factions in Iraq and Lebanon. The visit comes ahead of the Saudi crown prince’s scheduled visit to Pakistan on February 17.
