As of Wednesday afternoon Rahami is incapacitated following multiple surgeries for the gunshot wounds he sustained during a shootout with Linden, New Jersey police officers on Monday, Fox News is told. Fox News is also told that FBI agents are near his hospital bed waiting for Rahami to wake up so they can begin questioning. Additionally, two law enforcement sources confirm to Fox News that Rahami’s wife, Asia Bibi Rahami, is cooperating with authorities. These sources tell Fox News she left the country in June and is slated to travel back to the United States imminently. Federal prosecutors in New York and New Jersey issued criminal complaints Tuesday evening charging Ahmad Khan Rahami in weekend bombings in both those states.
