Ryan Powell has been outstanding in defence for Builth this season, and he also proved his worth at the other end of the pitch, equalising when the home ‘keeper failed to gather a Harry Edwards free-kick five minutes into the second half. With the elements now in their favour, Builth, for whom Keegan McGing impressed in midfield, might have snatched the win, with Lee James missing a headed chance while Harry Edwards pulled a couple of shots wide. But Corwen themselves felt they could have won it with the last play of the day when Joe Ephraim rounded Steventon, but his effort from a tight angle was blocked by the excellent Powell.
